Introduction

The Festival Internacional de Cinema d’Autor de Barcelona will screen an international panorama of the finest contemporary auteur cinema, combining the discovery of emerging new talents and cinematographies with internationally established directors and films that have traditionally received rough treatment from our country’s commercial distributors. Structured into different sections, the Festival will screen more than 50 films featuring the best films from the international independent cinema circuit and a review of the Romanian contemporary cinema.

The Internacional de Cinema d’Autor de Barcelona is organised by Noucinemart, a film promoter specialized in the promotion and diffusion of the best contemporary cinema. The Noucinemart’s team has 15 years of experience organising different film events, such as the Barcelona Asian Film Festival – BAFF (12 editions held) and the CineAmbigú independent cinema programme (12 editions).
